ChatGPT Outage Map: Regional Availability and Worldwide Status

Regional ChatGPT outage mapping is not currently available. Our reachability check runs from a single location; a multi-region map will be published only after verified probes operate from multiple locations.

Regional Outage Mapping Is Not Currently Available

Regional outage mapping is not currently available. This page will remain outside search indexing until verified multi-region monitoring data is available.

Regional monitoring is not currently available. Our independent reachability check runs from a single monitoring location, so it may not detect disruptions limited to a specific region. The regional view will become available only after verified probes are operating from multiple geographic locations.

What a Regional View Would Require

Before we publish a functioning outage map, we need real probes reporting from multiple regions, a last-check time per region, disclosed probe coverage and limitations, and enough verified data to report location-level availability accurately. Until those exist, we do not estimate or infer regional status.

How to Check Whether an Issue Is Regional Yourself

  1. Open the live status card above — if it shows a partial or major outage, the issue is widespread rather than local to you.
  2. Ask someone in a different country whether ChatGPT works for them right now.
  3. Check the official OpenAI status page for any confirmed incident and its scope.

Country Availability

OpenAI does not operate in every country, and some regions have access restrictions that are policy decisions rather than outages. For the authoritative list of where ChatGPT is officially supported, refer to OpenAI’s own documentation. If ChatGPT has never worked for you in a given country, it is more likely unsupported there than experiencing an outage.
